For the last few years we’ve collectively hand p

For the last few years we’ve collectively hand pruned the trees in the orchard. We try our best to keep them hand picking height, and high enough off the floor to allow for occasional sheep and pig grazing amongst the hens underneath!

This year needs must, and @orchardparkfarms came on the back of a few dry days to lend a hand with a much speedier mechanical prune, just in time before the warmer weather (we hope!) and bud burst.

Posting on here often falls by the wayside, but we’re very much here!
Our January lambing started last week, and we’re almost halfway through. It’s not been the easiest so far; the cold weather certainly didn’t help. But this week has started better, with strong lambs and mums filling out the barn.
